RinkRat 19 Hockey School Information
What is RR19HS? A hockey camp focused on individual skill development for boys and girls ages 3-8 and 9-14. Three weeks of camp are held in Warroad, MN. The four daily components of camp are on-ice sessions, dryland training, off-ice game, and team building.
On-ice sessions will include our unique skating drills that focus on balance and edges. Ice time is also filled with skill work, competitive drills, and small-area games. Dryland training is a mixture of stickhandling, shooting, and full body workouts. The workouts focus on building strength and speed through explosive single leg jumps, core training, sprints, and agility. Off-ice games such as soccer, baseball, kickball, and capture the flag are camp highlights and a great way to increase athleticism while providing rest to skating muscles. Team Building is a variety of leadership development, mental skills training, and Q&A with Gigi and the coaches.
Who runs RR19HS? Gigi Marvin is the owner and head on-ice instructor of RR19HS. Gigi has played 13 years for Team USA and won 3 Olympic medals: 1 gold (2018) and 2 silver (2010, 2014). At camp, you can expect to see Gigi either running the session or participating in it alongside the boys and girls (kickball is her favorite off-ice activity!). Gigi loves getting to know the campers and intentionally makes herself available to every group so each kid can create unforgettable memories. Click on the Gigi Marvin page to read her bio and find out more.
